Marriage… I’m not going to try to define what the word actually means because I’m sure every married couple has a definition of what ‘their’ marriage means to them. One thing I can say is that, it is actually harder than all the fairy tales and fantasies I imagined it to be. Personally, I compare my marriage to life in general… Ups, downs and inbetweens. The moments of pure joy, I believe depend on the kind of individual you are. Do you let things easily get to you, ignore them or find the positive in them ( I have profound respect for positive people.) Your attitude I believe holds the key to your marriage.
Marriage is one of those situations where (at least in my culture), the unmarried envy the married, while the married sometimes wish they had the courage to just leave. We hear advises like, “marry a God-fearing man, if he loves the Lord, he will treat you right.” Well, there have been cases where a God-fearing partner abuses (both physically and mentally) the other and the next moment gets on their knees and asks the Lord for forgiveness. Basically what I am saying is just like the future, you never know what your partner is capable of.
Yet am I tempted to compare my marriage to others, of course I am. You sometimes see couples who ‘outwardly’, yes the key word being ‘outwardly’ appear to be the perfect marriage model and you dream of having a marriage like theirs. But is that marriage truly all it seems? There’s a saying in our culture, ” in marriage, the roof covers it all.”
Personally, apart from the love I have for my husband, one of the things that keeps me working at our marriage is the way he treats me and loves our babies. Is he perfect…far from it. Does he get on my nerves…you bet he does.Do I love being married? You bet I do!

Will Smith has reportedly thrown his wife Jada Pinkett-Smith a lavish 40th birthday party with all the Hollywood trimmings.
Following widespread rumours of infidelity and divorce, Will Smith 43, threw an intimate but lavish birthday bash for his ‘Missus’ on the occasion of her 40th birthday last Sept 17 2011.The party included an hour-long video of Jada’s life including her childhood in Baltimore, USA.
“Will treated it like a Hollywood production and had the best people work on it for months,” an insider tells Us Weekly. He even had his wife’s childhood pals from Baltimore supply pictures and anecdotes about his wife. “Jada was shocked!”
Is this meant to convince us that all is now well in the Pinkett-Smith household?
Former Hollywood IT’ couple Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt’s relationship has once again hit the headlines after Brad Pitt made some unsavoury comments about his marriage to ex-wife Jennifer.
While speaking to Parade Magazine, the 47-years old former heathrob had this to say about that time of his life
“It became very clear to me that I was intent on trying to find a movie about an interesting life, but I wasn’t living an interesting life myself,” Pitt told Parade.
“I think that my marriage (to Aniston) had something to do with it. Trying to pretend the marriage was something that it wasn’t,” he added.
As if this comment was not damaging enough, Brad went on to say giving his kids Angelina Jolie as their mother was the ‘smartest’ thing he had ever done. Poor Jen!
Needless to say Brad Pitt received a lot of backlash from some media outlets and Jennifer Aniston fans which quickly sent the actor into ‘damage control’ mode. While out promoting his new movie “Moneyball”, Brad has spent most parts of interviews trying to clarify what he actually meant by those statements.
“It grieves me that this was interpreted this way. Jen is an incredibly giving, loving, and hilarious woman who remains my friend. It is an important relationship I value greatly. The point I was trying to make is not that Jen was dull, but that I was becoming dull to myself — and that, I am responsible for,” Brad Pitt.
However it seems to be a little too late. Brad Pitt was married to Jennifer Aniston from 2000-2005 and prior to that they had been dating for 2 years. His infamous divorce came about when he was caught cheating on wife Jennifer Aniston with co-star Angelina Jolie.
He’s since been with Jolie with whom they share custody of their 6 children.

A couple of months back when singer and entrepreneur JLO (Jennifer Lopez) announced her divorce from husband latin singer Marc Anthony, the media went into overdrive speculating the reason for the marriage breakdown. In other to dispel rumours of Jada as a home-wrecker, some PR consultant advised the two husbands to stage a photo opportunity, pretending all is well in paradise. Come to think of it, given the stories you hear about the power couple that is Will and Jada Smith, all could truly be well in paradise as they are both known to swing both ways (if you get my drift ).
LAst Monday, Will and Marc Anthony were both caught on camera celebrating Marc Anthony’s birthday at the Monday football night game between the Miami Dolphins and the New England Patriots.
To prove that this was just for show, prior to the scandal, there were only one or two pictures of Marc Anthony and Will Smith on the www. and suddenly there are countless pictures of both guyshanging out. Oh please!

There are rumours that I immediately ignore or at the most take with a pinch of salt. However when it comes to Will and Jada Smith and their swinging ways… I say there’s no smoke without fire. But don’t just take my word for it, do your own research.
This Hollywood sef. Just last night I was watching Ryan Reynolds’ latest Hugo Boss advert on TV and telling myself what a lucky girl Scarlett is. And now this!
“After long and careful consideration on both our parts, we’ve decided to end our marriage,” the 34-year-old actor and his wife of two years, 26, said in a statement. “We entered our relationship with love and it’s with love and kindness we leave it. While privacy isn’t expected, it’s certainly appreciated.”

Both Eva Longoria and Tony Parker tweeted the same statement today. “they still deeply love each other but have chosen to end their 7 years relationship (married for 3 out of 7). Yeah, whatever. unfortunately for Tony, news of his cheating text messages just got exposed.
Mario Lopez (Eva’s best friend) went on his show Extra! to reveal some inside scoop on the situation. It is alleged that Eva confirmed to him (Mario Lopez) that Tony cheated and she had found hundreds of text messages. (“Tiger Woods voice” Didn’t I school you, Tony?)
Various sources both in the NBA and in the entertainment industry are revealing that the mistress in question is actually married… to Tony’s former Spurs teammate! Her name is Erin Barry, wife of Brent Barry who retired last year. (hmm, it only gets messier). Apparently, both couples were close friends. Yep, that’s right.

people.com reports that Eva filed the divorce papers this morning at the L.A Superior Court. Rumours abound that it is due to Tony Parker’s philandering ways (sshh). Well he’s a basketballer (plays for San Antonio spurs) and he’s French – go figure, just saying. According to people.com,
The Desperate Housewives star’s documents were filed in Los Angeles Superior Court just one day after her rep denied that Parker had done the same in a Texas court.
The cause of the split wasn’t immediately revealed. But this past week the couple have been rocked with infidelity rumors, with claims that Tony has been unfaithful.
It is alledged that the couple actuallly did sign a pre-nup before their wedding three years ago. At least we know how it will end.
