About 20 people are said to have been killed last August 27th on the Douala- Yaoundé highway around a town called BOGA, near Boumnyebel.
The Lorry carrying goods was on its way to Yaoundé from Douala, when trying to overtake another vehicle, smashed into the oncoming passenger bus from Yaoundé. The bus which was carrying about 35 passengers was said to have been flattened with many of the bodies left unrecognisable.
Weh! Not again. How many lives will reckless driving claim? This is just getting ridiculous! The Government has to put stringent and workable policies in attaining a Driver’s license in Cameroon. Too many of our brothers and sisters are dying and it is not just due to ‘famla.’
Pour confirmer ces informations qui ont secoué la ville de Douala tout le week-end, un « avis de recherche », lancé par la Délégation régionale de la police judiciaire du Littoral (Drpjl) est venu mettre fin aux supputations : « Il y a lieu de rechercher activement sur l’étendue de la République le dénommé Moundi Adolphe Claude alias Petit-Pays né le 5 juin 1967 à Douala, fils de Moundi Adophe et Ewondjé Marthe, artiste musicien. Le sieur sus nommé s’est évadé le 25 novembre 2010 au Parquet près le tribunal de première instance de Douala-Bonanjo. En cas de découverte, l’interpeller et le garder dans un poste de police ou de gendarmerie le plus proche et aviser la Délégation régionale de la police judiciaire du Littoral au numéro de téléphone 33 42 16 96 33 42 19 99 », peut-on lire dans l’avis de recherche est signé le 26 novembre 2010 par Ibrahima Iya, commissaire de police principal.
L’affaire remonte au mois de mai 2010. Serges Andze Djimi, le patron de Zean Evénementiel, une agence de prestation de service, dit avoir été floué par Petit-Pays qui avait paraphé un contrat de 40 millions pour des spectacles à Yaoundé et Douala pour les dates du 19 et 20 mai 2010. A en croire le plaignant, Petit-Pays, n’a pas honoré ce rendez-vous. Deux autres dates vont être trouvées pour des séances de rattrapages : 16 et 17 juin 2010. « Mais il n’est jamais venu alors que j’avais tout organisé. J’ai même vendu les billets. Mais les spectacles n’ont pas eu lieu », fulmine Serges Andze Djimi. Une plainte est portée contre le président de Caïman pour « abus de confiance et escroquerie ».
Déférant à une convocation jeudi dernier 25 novembre 2010 au parquet près le Tribunal de première instance de Douala-Bonanjo, Petit-Pays sera immédiatement interpellé et mis en détention administrative à la cellule du parquet du tribunal. Mais contre, toute attente, le président de Caïman va …s’échapper de sa cellule. Avec l’aide vraisemblablement des forces de l’ordre. D’où le mandat d’arrêt national lancé contre Petit-Pays.
Malgré cette épée de Damoclès, le président de Caïman club est resté en contact avec son club jusqu’à la victoire sur Cotonsport dimanche dernier, a-t-on aprris. « Nous sommes en contact avec le président (Petit-Pays, ndlr). Juste avant le match, il nous appelait toutes les 30 minutes pour encourager les joueurs. Voilà pourquoi nous avons gagné », a indiqué un membre de l’encadrement technique du club de Douala. Kevin G. If you take a drive around our beloved Douala, you will see people living in abject poverty and total squalor. So sad that people live their hometowns in the hinterlands of Cameroon where at least they had three square meals a day to come to Douala hoping to make a better life for themselves. Oh Africa!

So you can imagine the public uproar when last Saturday, 20th November, another young woman parked her Toyota Landcruiser Prado near Hotel Lewat, stripped again in public and committed some nauseating acts (which I cannot put on my site, I’m sorry) then calmly walked to her car and drove off.
