Alas, justice has been served! Being a Michael Jackson fan, I have to say I was relieved that Dr. Conrad Murray was found guilty of ‘involuntary manslaughter’ as regards Michael’s death.
Dr Murray was Michael Jackson’s personal physician at the time of his death and was accused of injecting Michael with Propofol, a highly dangerous anaesthetic which resulted in his death.
Prosecutors described Dr. Murray as a doctor who gave in to Michael’s every demand in order to maintain his $150,000-a-month salary – even at the risk of Michael’s life by administering dangerous amounts of propofol.
I’m sure there are a lot of happy Michael Jackson fans around the world today but like the Judge said;
“The end result was the death of a human being. That fact demonstrates that the public should be protected. Dr. Murray’s reckless conduct poses a demonstrable risk to the safety of the public.”
Dr. Murray will be sentenced in about 6 to 8 weeks and faces up to 4 years in jail. Michael’s family must be so relieved!
Was it truly involuntary manslaughter or premeditated murder like his sister LaToya Jackson claims? Either way I am just glad the whole trial is over. It was really sad watching them try to discredit and dishonour Michael during the trial. RIP!
Yesterday we witnessed the second day into the Trial of Dr. Conrad Murray who is accussed of killing the King of Pop, Michael Jackson.
A picture of michael laying dead on a gurney was released by LA District Attorney David Walgreen, who promised to detail the events leading up to Michael’s death.
For those who will question whu I put this picture up, here’s your answer. Michael was a music idol to me and I will lvoe to gather as much information on him as possible. If it offends you, please simply do not look at it ok?
While on a promotional tour of his latest album Watch the Throne, rapper Jay Z was asked by radio host of 99 Jamz what he has learnt from his wife after watching her work and perform so closely. This is what he had to say;
“What I’ve learnt from her is similar to what I learnt from [Michael Jackson] – and I know that’s blasphemy to compare the two because Mike was such an innovator – but I think she’s like the second coming. Y’know, the hard work and dedication that she puts into her shows. It just makes you want to work harder at your own craft. She’s like a machine.”
MY TAKE
Hmm. At least she inspires him to work harder. To me that’s sweet.
First it was Michael Jackson, the king of pop (whom I love regardless) whose public skin bleaching I believe encouraged the mania of skin bleaching. Since then we have seen quite an increase in the number of celebrities choosing to go down that route.
Sammy Peralta Sosa, former and retired Chicago Cubs slugger of the Major League Baseball player . Sammy Sosa says a cosmetic cream he uses to soften his skin is the reason for his lighter skin tone.
Rapper lil Kim too has joined the bandwagon.
Vybz Kartel, a Jamaican Reggae and dancehall artist. Vybz had this to say;
“This is my new image. You can expect the unexpected. I feel comfortable with black people lightening their skin. They want a different look. It’s tantamount to white people getting a sun tan.”
The memo — which was just auctioned off on eBay for more than $3,000 — was allegedly found in June 2009 by staff working at MJ’s home in Holmby Hills.
The note — purportedly handwritten by MJ — seems to reference his then upcoming “This Is It” concert series in London — “One year in London 3? International # 1 2 3 4 5 albums and single.”
The note — written on Dr. Arnie Klein’s stationary — continues, “Talk to digital people, Universal, Warner … make huge $” … followed by the words, “Who’s doing sculpture for Halloween special.”
FYI — the red stuff on the note ain’t blood … the seller claims it’s simply a drink stain.
Oprah recently sat down with Katherine Jackson, the mother of my idol, Michael Jackson for their first interview since the death of Michael last June 25th 2009. Featured are Joe Jackson (who has NOT divorced his wife), Michael’s children; Prince Michael, Paris and Blanket. Although met with consternation from some family members because Oprah always gave the impression that he was truly a child molester (which I will never believe). Still I’m glad I got the chance to hear such beautiful stories about him. I love you Michael, always.
