For those of us who have not yet caught up with the news, Diva Beyoncé is pregnant with her first child. The singer announced her pregnancy to reporters at the MTV Video Music Awards last Sunday 29th August.

The singer has been married to her husband rapper Jay Z since 2008 and has been the subject of many pregnancy rumours.

MY TAKE

Congratulations to the couple!

BET’s “Black Girls Rock” event performances

November 8th, 2010 § Comments Off § permalink

BLACK GIRLS ROCK! Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, has been dedicated to the healthy development of young women and girls. BLACK GIRLS ROCK! Inc. seeks to build the self-esteem and self-worth of young women of color by changing their outlook on life, broadening their horizons, and helping them to empower themselves. (hmmm, this got me thinking).

Last night, Nov. 7, Black Girls Rock teamed up with BET networks to provide us a star-studded show with amazing performances and awards. In case you missed it, here are some of the performances. Check out bet.com/special/blackgirlsrock for more info.

Three of my favourite female American soul singers performed “Four Women” off the ‘For Coloured Girls’ soundtrack.

Keyshia Cole seems to be inching her way back to the music scene after the birth of her son.

Monica, I love her, performed “Still standing”

Ms Keri-baby, performed her last single “Breaking Point”.

British sensation; VV Brown performed her hit “Shark in the water”

More of my Saturday ballads for you. Enjoy!

Et les “Tetes Brules”

A cette epoque, on croyait touts que les rues de Paris etaient climatisees. lol.

A shame about the quality.

Cameroonians really have an open mind when it comes to ‘good’ music. We sure did embrace this guy.

PS: Did the Telepodium band actually play live or was it always ‘playbacks’
